An Educational Turkey Picture and Facts Of Turkey....


To the kids out there who have not seen a Turkey before. This is how a turkey look like. This is a wild turkey I "took"(pic) from Big Sur. I thought it was cool because whenever we moved, he stopped and spread out its gorgeous feathers and stay at that position, sensing danger. We left this turkey in peace and left the park back to our campsites...

Facts on Turkeys:
1) It took more than 45 million years of evolution to seperate both species of chicken and turkeys.
2) An adult turkey can weigh as much as 17 to 22 pounds on average and have as long as 7 inches of feather on its chest.
3) Turkeys can run as fast as 25 miles per hour and fly as fast as 55 miles per hour!! Wow...
4) The gender of turkeys can be identified from the 'droppings'. The male turkeys would have spiral-shaped poop, while the female would have a shaped like a letter 'J'
5) Male turkeys are called "gobbles" after the mating call they make
